While both NameHero and Siteground are both web hosting companies, there are several fundamental differences between the two services.
The main difference is in the “tech stack” which is just a geeky term for the technologies that power the service.
NameHero uses Litespeed servers which are very high performant and allow you to use the free LSCache performance plugin to make your website even faster. NameHero comes with the old school cPanel interface to get everything done.
Siteground on the otherhand, uses a custom stack on Google servers that is based on NginX. The control panel is also completely custom. Sitegrounds service includes their own caching/performance plugin and their own security plugin.
Let me “decode” all that for you :-).
NameHero offers better pricing and a much cleaner typical experience using their service.
Siteground is more expensive, but their user control panel is less cluttered and their included performance plugin is much better for the non-techie.
For me, I would personally choose NameHero over Siteground, but both are excellent services, and you will have a good experience with either.
