The battle of the free LMS plugins for WordPress. While the extensions available for LearnPress are much less expensive, the quality of the free version of LifterLMS is unmatched. Ultimately you are going to need to purchase an extension for either of these if you want to sell your courses.
LifterLMS is actively being developed with innovative new features being added monthly. The code quality is much better, and their support is top notch. The payment gateway will cost a little bit more, but overall the system will be much better and requires no additional plugins or extensions to work. LifterLMS is my recommendation.

Which LMS plugin integrates the easiest with “my” theme?
Which will not require me to hire a webdesigner to do css in my theme in order to display courses well?
None of them. They will all work with your theme, but not look great out of the box. The only theme that specifically has integration so you can effortlessly make it look great is the Astra Theme.
You should mention one more biggest problem with LearnPress. They use default WordPress registration mechanism to enroll new students. This limits the advanced customization which LifterLMS provides while enrolling the students. I also agree with support thing you mentioned. LearnPress doesn’t have attractive support model.
Thank you for sharing your experience here. It helps others make better decisions.
Hello,
It is a nice comparison. I have been searching for a long time. I have used WATUPRO once and I regret using it. I need advanced quizzes and the remaining parts are not important. I installed LearnDash and it is so much work to create one question and it seems not to have drag and drop. They have advertised it a lot and you think it is so much great but it is not.
I checked lifter it seems to have basic question types and you need to buy advanced one but it still does not have best question types. I assume it is not possible in WP.
Do you know any professional one that has mostly quiz features?
