Same thing happened to me. Didn’t see their email, they auto renewed and they don’t offer a refund or even a partial one. Scammers are what there are.
Indeed, I have had a similar experience with GreenGeeks, I have switched to another host which also offers environmentally friendly hosting powered by wind energy and they have great tech support.
The service is created to rip you off. After first month I registered on it, figured that wasted my money because just founded so much better deals and services that at the same time care about their customers, not just try to scam people beside selling them some shi.. services.
Last year I made a big mistake and got a one year plan from them for $200(never used it). I was forgetting about it that I got another $200 bill on my credit cart for renewal the plan. Then immediately contacted them and said ” I haven’t used this account at all and I have no plan to use it while never asked you to renew it. But they say we don’t have refund for renewal plans. :l The fun part is that, I asked them to cancel my account, but they say we can’t cancel it because you paid for it. They latterly want to rip me off by the next year as well by renewing it since I’m not able to remove my credit cart information from the profile.
In addition I have made many websites with different services and platforms. Their services are super old exactly like the ones that developers get between 2001 to 2008. I wish I NEVER inserted my credit card information on their SCAMMY website. If you got scammed using GreenGeeks, I won’t be surprised.
That does sound like a bad policy if true. They should provide a 30-day return policy regardless of it being a new order or renewal.
